Enhancements to the Web Site
1 October 2015: Added links on the Clements species pages to the relevant page on the Handbook of Birds of the World Alive.
1 February 2015: Added links on the country pages to search the UPU's registered stamps issued by the relevant country with the theme "Birds - General" since the inception of the WNS (WADP Numbering System). Not all countries are using the system, and a few have stopped.
2 April 2011: Added links on the country pages to search freestampcatalogue.com for bird stamps for the relevant country.

There are two sets of Country pages.

One with the stamps shown by date order where the country name at the top is a link to Fabio's site to look for the postal authority's details. Each stamp should appear only once, but where more than species is shown, the area of the stamp is divided equally between the species. The left side of each stamp links to the corresponding Clements species page, right side to H&M.

The other by Clements order where the country name is a link to a bird checklist. Each stamp can occur more than once if it shows more than one species, and there are links to detailed images.

Each is accessible via the icon at the top right.

29 September 2002: Country pages no longer show multiple images of stamps (ie one for each species shown). Instead, the area of each stamp is divided equally by the number of species. Each different area is clickable and links to the corresponding species page. Country pages sorted by species continue to show one image per species, but now include links to detailed images of birds if they exist.

4 May 2002: Changed link on each country page to SF. The link opens in a new window. This produces a big listing of all the bird stamps which you have to page through for what you are searching.

27 August 2001: Replaced Stanley Gibbons advertisements by Google's image search. The image search is still being Beta tested, but it does often find good images, though some are on stamps. SG has withdrawn its affiliate programme.
29 April 2001: Added link on each country page to Stamp Finder: opens in a new window. Select country and keyword search for bird or new issues. The link opens in a new window. You have to select the relevant country and select new issues or do a keyword search for "bird".
14 April 2001: Changed search facility to GoTo.com which changed its name to Overture in October 2001.
